Meet CMT VP Social Standards!

Grace Acuna

Position: Vice President: Social Standards

Birthday: May 30, 1992

Hometown: Austin, Texas

Major: Public Relations

What you like to do in your free time: Honestly I don't like free time, so I'd rather be doing something productive like answering emails or getting ahead on homework assignments while watching a movie.

Favorite Movie: She's the Man (favorite lazy saturday movie)

Favorite Food: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Favorite DG or Greek Event: I love work week (the preparation week before recruitment) because we all become so close by being together constantly and it's one of the few times when all 200 of us are working for the same goal, to recruit some amazing new women to represent Delta Gamma.  It really bonds us and I feel how strong our sisterhood is during that time.

Why did you run for the CMT position you hold? I ran for Vice President: Social Standards because I wanted to see our chapter grow in all areas.  I wanted to see us progress scholastically, personally, and emotionally; and I felt Social Standards was the perfect way to help with that.  I wanted to be able to hold all women accountable and also be the person women entrusted with their thoughts and feelings toward the chapter.

Favorite quote: "To this end I labor, struggling with all of His energy which so powerfully works in me" Colossians 1:29

What you hope for: For our chapter I hope that our sisterhood becomes even stronger and that each member understands the honor it is to be a Delta Gamma and never takes that for granted.  Personally I hope to move to New York City after graduation and excel in the communications industry while always keeping my character in tact.
